Challenges in Ethiopa's Health Sector
With a population of 100 million people, 0.48 per capita is utilized for health services in the country. Such a low rate is a clear indication of low availability, demand, or quality of services. Shortages of health workforce, funding, and health program management capacity remains as a major challenge for the country.
Sehpa's Contribution
SEHPA will strive to make a modest contribution by raising awareness on the status and needs of public health delivery, identifying and facilitating opportunities for knowledge sharing and training, engaging in direct medical outreach, and motivating and lobbying other like minded people to be actively involved in an effort to improve health service delivery in Ethiopia.
